Ron's View
The sand river beach is one of my sanctuaries. This wind swept beach is at the mouth of the Sand River in Lake Superior Provincial Park. We often stop there to and from our trips west. This image was taken in August of 2006. We were returning home from the Yukon. At this point we had driven over 25,000 km in three months. I had shot over 60,000 images. We were road weary to say the least and needed some down time. Reading a book in the sun and swimming in the clear, cold Lake Superior has a way of restoring a sense of well-being.
