Tawny Cotton Grass
The bogs along the Labrador Coastal Drive are full of Tawny Cotton Grass. I stopped to photograph some one morning and felt something on the back of my neck. It was dripping blood from the black fly bites. Lori had noticed bug jackets in the previous town. We quickly drove back and bought a couple. We called them "Labrador Evening Wear" although they are needed the entire day during the summer.
