This Barred Owl was sitting on a branch of a dead tree in a snowfall. We were in Presqu'ile Provincial Park, Ontario in early January. Lori and I often travel with our friends Robert and Olga this time of year. The owl was being very co-operative with us and allowed us to approach close enough for a good shot. I think the falling snow really makes the image.
