La Belle Anse, Ile du Cap-aux-Meules, Iles de la Madeleine (the Magdelin Islands) in Quebec. We travelled to this archipelago of seven islands in the middle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence on a whim. We were on Prince Edward Island, saw the ferry dock and asked where the ferry went. After looking it up on the map we decided to go for it. We phoned to make reservations at a campground on one of the islands and then purchased one of the last tickets on the next ferry. It's about a 5-hour trip. The islands are more rugged and less populated than P.E.I.
