This was our last day camping on Sabine Island in Georgian Bay and the morning of our 27th anniversary. We spent several days paddling in French River Provincial Park in Ontario. The French is a historic river used by the Voyageurs and others travelling by canoe in Canada's early history. The river has many channels and bays to explore. It's a wonderful area to photograph the landscape and if you look carefully, you may spot a bear or the very rare Massasauga Rattlesnake. I got up before sunrise and paddled around looking for scenes to photograph. The light hit this point and the rock glowed with warmth. I used a Lee 2-stop neutral density filter to hold back the exposure in the sky.
